Biography of Steven Paul Jobs (Steve Jobs)
Steven Paul Jobs was born on the 24th of February, 1955 to two University of Wisconsin graduate students at San Francisco. His parents were named Joanne Carole Schieble (or Joanne Simpson) and Abdulfattah “John” Jandali. Joanne was a speech therapist and Abdulfattah was a syrian political science professor. Steve’s biological parents put him up for adoption with no name. Shortly after Steve was placed up for adoption, Joanne and Abdulfattah married and had another child, Mona Simpson. Steve was 27 when he found information from his biological parents.
After high school, Steve enrolled at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. Steve dropped out after six months, spending the other eighteen months dropping in on creative classes.
In 1974, Steve worked as a video game designer for Atari which he dropped after several months. He then started experimenting psychedelic drugs in India. He then started Apple Computers with Steve Wozniak. Steve then married Laurene Powell in 1991 and lived together in Palo Alto, California with their three children.
Steve resigned from CEO to begin NeXT Inc. Steve bought Pixar Animation from George Lucas. The studio then merged with Disney making Steve Disney’s largest individual shareholder. Apple then bought NeXT Inc. when NeXT failed to make a profit for considerable amount of time. In 1997, Steve returned to his post as Apple’s CEO.
Steve found out he had a tumor from cancer in 2003. Steve postponed surgery for several months. The tumor was removed after Steve was ready for surgery. The rest of Steve’s life was private. His family did say he had a view health problems such as weight loss and poor digestion. On October 5th, 2011, Apple announced Steven Paul Jobs died from cancer. Steven Paul Jobs will be remembered.
